Ghetto is a series of black and white photographs taken in Chicago's housing projects and surrounding neighborhoods. In reviewing a show that included this work, Hellen A. Harrison, art critic for the New York Times wrote: Mr. Scott's documentary photographs of young people in unidentified housing projects are surprisingly upbeat, showing a vitality that seems to fly in the face of social injustice and signifying a positive force that has the potential to overcome the very real prejudice that he despises.
